Cutting Crime in the West Midlands

Akaal previously stood as the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner candidate for the West Midlands. Akaal believes in holding the Police Commissioner to account and has locally campaigned against the local Labour party’s policy of closing police stations.

Akaal supports the Governments plan to cut crime:-

More police on our streets - recruiting 20,000 more police on our streets.

Giving the police the powers they need - giving police forces £10 million in additional funding,  equipping officers with the powers and tools they need to keep themselves and all of us safe

Protecting the public - creating 10,000 new prison places. £2.75 billion will be spent on creating modern, efficient prisons to better reform criminals and keep the public safe, whilst an extra £100 million will aid the crackdown on crime within prisons.
